Benifits of exercise

Benefits of exercise

Exercising can be a big pain and you can think of a million and one things to do besides getting yourself up off that couch and exercising, right? Wrong.  Exercising is something all of us need to do at least a minimal amount of time each week in order to avoid things like premature death and heart disease.  Everyone wants to live a long and rich life and be healthy, but sometimes you are just too tired or that movie you’re watching is just too good.  If you will read on, I will point out the major benefits of exercising and just remember: there’s always Tivo!

Everyone wants to have more energy, enough to get up off that couch, but you also want to live longer.  How do you get those two things? Exercise!  Just by bringing a minimal amount of exercise into your daily routine, you can add years to your life as well as feel better and not to be so tired.

Sometimes thought to be a bad word.  People turn their noses up at it.  Exercise.  Ugh. As you read along you will find that these life-saving benefits far outweigh the benefits of continuing to sit on that couch.

Get up and get your cardiovascular system pumping!  With each beat of your heart, blood is released into your blood vessels to circulate throughout your body.  Your blood pressure works your artery walls and lets that blood pump through.  Blood pressure keeps the blood pumping without any problems.  Buildup of plaque in your arteries (or vessels) is caused by cholesterol and other products that get into your blood which interrupt the blood flowing through your body.  This disease can cause damage to your cardiovascular system.  If you exercise regularly, the benefits of that exercising will lower the plaque buildup in your arteries, prevent high blood pressure, and lower your blood pressure if it’s high already.

No one likes a bone to break or their muscles to weaken or soften.  A bone breaking could also be bone-weakening or osteoporosis.  If you will do some strength training, like weight lifting this will help your bones and muscles to stay strong.

Don’t you hate it when you’re at a certain weight, and you start adding one thing to your diet that you don’t even really notice, but there you are, gaining weight.  You feel it in your step, when you wear your clothes, and when you step on that weight scale.  Why not try and maintain your weight?  Exercise alone will help to maintain your weight instead of gaining!  Our bodies require energy to function and sustain life.  Exercise makes your body work hard and uses up calories, which in turn reduces body fat.  On another note, if you maintain your weight, this will also prevent pressure on your bones.

There are so many diseases out there that exercise can help to prevent or alleviate.  Cancer and diabetes are two of the most prevalent diseases known world over.  You can reduce these risks just from exercising.  When it comes to diabetes, it seems everywhere you turn, someone has diabetes of some sort.  Prevent diabetes starting today!  Exercising and including a healthy diet will not only prevent diabetes, but will also manage diabetes you may already have.

There is nothing like feeling good about yourself each and every day.  Exercising helps to fight depression, anxiety, stress, and helps you sleep better too!  Exercise stimulates endorphins in your brain, which helps you relax and calm down.  If you’re feeling anxious or stressed out, take a walk or go work out.  Watch how exercise changes your mood naturally.

Avoid the risk and get on the exercise wagon today and have a healthier heart, stronger bones and muscles, a better sex life, and be a healthier YOU!
